Here is the edited version. I spruced up the colors a bit in the Lab color space. Then I converted back to RGB and masked out the sky using OnOne Software's Perfect Mask. I dropped a sky from our stock of sky's, and darkened it slightly with a curve. I made a duplicate of the masked layer and placed it in multiply mode, followed by a lowering of the opacity to get the foreground density I liked. The edge effect was done by stroking the path on the layer mask. A vignette was added to the photo, and a very slight drop shadow added. We have lost most of the trees on our property, and this Red Bud tree was the most colorful of all.
